Deer are a beautiful animal encapsulating the quality of speed. This photo shot in black and white is quite atmospheric of an early morning shot of a group of deer. This is difficult to achieve as Deer are very sensitive to human sounds. Stefan says he likes to shoot in black and white.
"To me the “oldfashioned” black & white photography is a great instrument to reveal my subjective perceptions and feelings to the viewer through the image. In my “unclean” handmade b/w-prints, I find the soul I’m interested in and the reduction supports the timelessness of the medium. I give great importance to the work in the darkroom, for me a place of visual research and meditation. "
